I’m a designer who creates physical things, spaces, and experiences that bring people together and evoke emotion.

I’m Juliette Paige, and Rookie Move is my design alias. Why ‘Rookie Move’?

First and foremost, you can only imagine the reactions I received when I decided to leave my secure tech job to pivot into a creative industry.

rookie move.

But honestly, the name pays homage to the little girl whose creativity knew no limits, who spent hours daydreaming, who pretended that the glow-in-the-dark stars on her ceiling were the real galaxy.

It’s allowing myself to be an “amateur,” which comes from the Latin root “amare” — to love.

An amateur does something for the love & joy of it. Not for the financial gains or for professional recognition.

I’m an amateur. A rookie, if you will.

All this to say, I’m proud to call myself an experiential designer and inject this joy into my work. I design physical spaces, things, and experiences that bring people together to build community and happiness.

And I’m hoping you’ll see some Rookie Move designs in the wild soon.

xoxo, JP
